Machine Learning for Computer Vision Faculty of Computer Science TU Dresden

Shengxian Zhao

Doctoral student

Research Interests

My research area is related to machine learning, mathematical optimization and their applications in computer vision and image analysis. I am interested in polyhedral analysis of these problems and the development of efficient algorithms to solve them.

Vita

Shengxian received a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2015. He studied gravitational collapse in General Relativity at the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and obtained a Master's degree in Astrophysics in 2018. Then, he went to the HSE Faculty of Mathematics to study Algebraic Geometry from the point of view of derived category, graduating with a Master's degree in Mathematics in 2020.
